It is the exact same zinc plated stuff you can buy individually in the plumbing isle. I also bought a better seat for $17 and it definitely needs one if you can afford it, because it is a really cheap plastic one.I also bought a jumbo wax ring, but the one in the box worked fine. It depends on your floor and flange height. So that is going back because my travertine tile is the same height as the flange.The toilet works great and it is super quiet when filling; and it only fills for a very short time.I ended up with a great toilet with a very nice seat for cheaper than the next toilet up in price, and it didn't have near the number of ratings and the quality of ratings that this one didI have a crack in our 1/2 bath toilet base, so I'm going back to get another one, and the same seat. LessCarrc2 · Review provided by lowes.comAll Reviews
