Beal Rando 8mm Golden Dry Rope

The Beal Rando 8mm rope with GoldenDry treatment is a high end glacier walking rope. It weighs only 37 grams per meter so it is really lightweight and small to pack. Still it is a very safe rope and can take a real impact. Because of it's weight this rope is often used for ski-touring around glaciers. The Rando is safely to use as a single rope for snow-routes, glacier travel and ski-touring but not for climbing and mountaineering. It is however so to use for climbing and mountaineering when used as a twin rope. The GoldenDry treatment is a combination of two treatments, both the core as the sheath is made hydrophobic. This means the rope will be water resistant and gains very little weight in wet conditions. It also makes the rope more fluid through carabiners and belay devices plus the rope becomes very durable.
