That was within my budget, so I bought it! Well, the refrigerator wasn't staying cool (possibly what was wrong with it before it was fixed). Milk spoiled, which was the dead giveaway that even when set on "coldest,鈥?this refurb was dysfunctional. Also, I have another refrigerator that was staying cool, and this refurb was definitely not cooling like that one. I got it replaced with a BRAND NEW refrigerator, same model. The bottom part is perfect! Even on 鈥渞ecommended,鈥?it is very cool. HOWEVER it is cracking, popping, etc. I don't really want to hear my refrigerator make these noises like an iceberg is melting/cracking. Sometimes it鈥檚 just an average, light popping noise- but every 15 min or so, there鈥檚 a loud, 鈥渓ook over here at me鈥?popping /cracking noise. This is the second time the delivery guys have been to my house, and I will probably do a third, this time investing more money into a different brand. There is this YouTube video that supposedly breaks down the noises your refrigerator would make. I couldn鈥檛 post the link; however, I have no icemaker and @55 second鈥檚 sound is miniscule compared to the noises I am hearing now. I will say this- it鈥檚 not the loud truck sound I鈥檓 seeing in other reviews. Bottom line is this: IF YOU ARE IN A BIND and your old refrigerator went out or something, go ahead..You may get one that doesn鈥檛 make the noise- my last one did not. If it starts to make an unbearable noise, just use it as a placeholder to keep your food until you can return it and invest in a more expensive/quality fridge that will cool like it鈥檚 supposed to and not disrupt the peace of your house.
