The upper is constructed of breathable and abrasion-resistant mesh. A gusseted tongue helps to keep dust and debris out of the shoe and built in drains allow moisture to escape and help the shoe dry quickly if it does become wet. As with all Topo shoes, it provides a spacious toe box but comfortably secures your midfoot and heel. Under foot, a dual-density injected EVA midsole provides low-profile cushioning that holds up even after extended use. An anti-compression Ortholite footbed enhances both fit and comfort. The footbed also has anti-microbial properties to help fight odor. The flexible forefoot rock plate bolsters protection against rocks and roots. The premium Vibram XS Trek rubber outsole ensures confident traction on varied surfaces and its deep lugs keep you upright on soft ground and sloppy terrain. With a 25mm heel and a 22mm forefoot, the shoe has a minimal 3mm drop. It weighs in at 1 pound, 5.6 ounces per pair.
