They've done increasingly more damage each year. They dig under traditional fences and hunting/trapping them only puts a small dent in their numbers. Being from an old generation he was skeptical about the reliability of solar powered energizers - his experience was with battery operated units that were unreliable. That said, we were willing to give this a go since it's about the only thing he hadn't tried. And he's been thrilled so far.
