If they knew the laws of physics, I think they would realize the argument for their expenditures is simple rationalizing. The Shure M97 is in my opinion the "real world" perfect cartridge. Sweet flawed records sound sweet and are handled nicely with the stabilizing brush which helps compensate for any physical anomalies of vinyl disks etc. The M97 price is right and the quality is exceptional.
